Did you know that what we now call an engagement ring became a tradition in 16th century England? Uncut diamonds set into rings were exchanged between lovers; these rings were known as "scribbling rings". The lovers would then use the points of the diamonds to write messages to each other in glass, mirrors and on windows. Perhaps these love notes were on of the very first forms of graffiti!
Aroc Urtu has embraced the beauty of the engagement rings origins in our "Scribble Ring" which weighs approximately 4 carats set in yellow gold. Beautiful, unusual diamonds; a true message of love. Please allow three weeks for delivery.
Note: We use all conflict-free stones to create our rings.
